About Novvy

Novvy is building an AI-native advertising platform. Powered by multimodal and agentic AI, it understands the scene, story, and emotional moment, then creates ads that fit naturally into the experience. For content platforms, that means monetization that preserves user retention. For advertisers, it means reaching users through relevant, engaging experiences.
The opportunity
We are looking for a Founding AI Engineer to own Novvy's ad generation agent, working directly with founder Jin Xi.
Jin previously led engineering for a multi-billion-dollar YouTube App Ads business at Google at age 27. He brings deep experience in advertising systems, advertiser performance, and platform monetization.
What you will own
- Build the ad generation agent: connect content and advertiser understanding, creative retrieval, and generation into a reliable workflow.
- Build the feedback loop: use creative analysis, experiments, and engagement, conversion, and retention data to improve what the system generates.
- Make quality repeatable: evaluate models, diagnose failures, and improve reliability, latency, and cost as the product scales.
Who we are looking for
- You are a hands-on engineer with experience in advertising, recommendations, or data-driven consumer products. You have used behavioral data and experiments to improve a real product, and you care about the user experience behind the metrics.
- You have built with LLMs and can move beyond a promising demo: choosing models, designing context and workflows, evaluating outputs, and handling unreliable behavior.
- You are curious about why a story holds someone's attention, why a creative motivates action, and when an ad breaks the experience. You can combine that curiosity with rigorous engineering and data analysis.
- Your strongest background may be in ads or recommendations, with practical generative AI experience, or in consumer AI products with strong experimentation skills. We value depth in one area and evidence that you can connect it to the others.
This is a founding engineering role with direct ownership of a core product capability and room to grow into broader technical leadership.
